Students worked in groups of 5-6 to design a model of Masada. After studying the original structure and a previously constructed model, students planned and strategized to create a three level structure using popsicle sticks, toothpicks, construction paper, glue, and their imagination. Once their structures dried, students tested their designs by building cliffs from Jenga blocks with the objective of creating the highest tower possible. Students were given three trials. The results were quite impressive!
